These stainless steel nuts use a metal locking mechanism so are perfect for critical applications where temperatures exclude the use of nylock nuts. Examples include lower plenum studs, timing belt tensioner pivot bolt, bolting turbos to exhaust manifolds (eliminate those pesky locking tabs on your 300zx), or dump pipe to turbo applications.
